1920'S black silk velvet with beautifully detailed cotton lace that drops out in a deep V in the front as well as in the back. This vintage silk velvet is soft and luxurious like no other... The lace has a really intricate floral pattern that is rather sheer and see through. The underarms and elbow areas have been reinforced at some time with an extra layer of lace, for added strength. The velvet has a drop waist with layers of floating velvet of different lengths to create an asymmetrical hemline.
This garment is in VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION.. with a few very small snags in the velvet. The lace seems strong and wearable.. and without holes. The sleeves are rather narrow, which may limit the wearer to a smaller size arm. There are really nice lace covered button details along the cuffs with tiny snaps.
*There is no maker label or size in dress... which is typical of this period..
