“Wearable Art” anyone? Well this amazing jacket really takes that term to new,”counter culture” extremes! This truly one-of-a-kind garment has been artfully constructed from a high quality black blazer jacket and an authentic, vintage, hand painted, black velvet painting. The velvet painting looks to be from the '60s or early '70s, back when these paintings were all the rage! This groovy jacket features an image of a big eyed moppet, painted in the iconic "Margaret Keane" style. It's machine-appliquéd onto the back of the jacket.
Great for any “Red Carpet” event that may require your attendance, whether you’re in Hollywood or Hoboken… or anywhere in-between.
Wanna totally win the prom this year? How about matching his & hers black velvet painting outfits?! The men’s “Jesus” tuxedo jacket and the “Cute Puppy” halter dress go together like…. well, like Jesus and puppies. And do check out my shop for more “Black Velvet Wear” items! But don’t let ‘em get away… when they’re gone, they’re like totally gone!

I'm listing it as a size XL but everyone has a different idea of what that means. Please see measurements below and compare with a similar garment that fits well. Sleeve Length from shoulder: about 24"

Please note, my “Black Velvet Painting wear” garments are created and designed for wear on very special occasion, so do take great care when wearing it, as again, you’re wearing an authentic, genuine vintage painting. That said, back away from the mosh pit! (Due to fact that the image is indeed hand painted, these garments cannot be washed nor dry cleaned. And paint may crack a little in the thicker areas of application.)
