The vase has a sculptural quality that is attractive empty or full with a bouquet.
I wanted to create a shape that was simple and modern, one that would display long stemmed flowers with ease. I did this by nipping in the form at the "waist" so that single branches and bouquets would be cradled naturally. "Eve's" clean contemporary look makes it compatible with a variety of home decor styles.

I love the soft texture that results from pinching the clay, so I use I use the "coil and pinch" technique to create my pottery. The resulting surface texture reveals the touch of the artist. Combined with a shiny glaze, the pottery reflects the sunlight giving the vase a lovey presence even when empty of flowers. The thin, raised white line detailing that I draw on by hand adds another layer of texture to this piece and ensure that each one is unique
