Here is a set of four Danish rosewood armchairs in black leather by Arne Vodder for P. Olsen Sibast (Sibast), circa 1960s. These could be used as dining chairs, but are large enough to be conference or desk chairs. The frames are solid rosewood and the backrests and seats are in the original black leather.
These chairs are in good vintage condition. All of the seat cushions have been rebuilt with brand new canvas supports and new foam, and the seats are nice and firm and are comfortable to sit in. The original leather was saved and reused. There are no rips or repairs to the leather but there are normal marks, scratches, dents, nicks, color variation and other normal wear. Because the leather was removed for new foam and reinstalled, some staple marks are present underneath the chairs. Please see pictures for condition.
The rosewood frames are nice and tight. The original finish has been cleaned and has a nice sheen. There is some normal wear to the arms and other minor and normal wear from age and use, but overall this set is in very good condition and these chairs are ready to be enjoyed for many more decades to come.
Each chair measures approximately 23.5” Wide x 21” Deep x 31” Tall. The seat height is roughly 18.25”. The space between the arms is 18”.
