This unique and iconic clock was popular in the 1940s and '50s and was made in partnership by Sessions Clock Co and Mastercrafters. Still in excellent working condition, the model W Sessions movement runs smoothly and quietly, keeping good time, with time set knob in back. The upper dome light also works as intended. The bakelite body is brown in color, with matching bakelite propeller pods mid-wing; the tires are rubber, the wings are polished metal and the propellers, wheel struts and "third wheel" (back support, made to resemble a landing wheel) are all polished cast metal. The propellers and wheels spin freely.

Dimensions: 8.5"H x 20.5"W x 5"D. All parts are intact including cast metal 3-blade propellers and the 3rd wheel, with bakelite body that has no scratches or hairline cracks. The clock bezel is chrome, and convex glass covers the dial. The silver clock face has consistent coloring, no marks or scratches, and sharp, clear black numbering bordered in gold. The wings and wheel struts have no rust or corrosion and still shine.

The clock has a safe pliable power cord. The lamp in the dome takes a 7 watt nightlight bulb (included, new). The light assembly and its separate on/off switch in back work perfectly. The clock dial has the stylized Sessions logo across the upper middle and the clock's back plate is also inscribed Sessions with "model W" inscribed on the back cover near the time set stem. A small banana-shaped Mastercrafters label originally fixed to the lower half of the clock back is still partially present.

This rare bird will be partially disassembled to protect its wings and propellers, then carefully padded, packed and sent fully insured with tracking and easy to follow instructions for reattaching the wings provided.
