19th century French burl walnut secretary cabinet

An absolutely incredible piece of furniture, truly a blend of stunning form and function, this 19th century secretary cabinet is a one of a kind work of art that would elevate any space. 

Crafted with the highest quality from burl walnut, it features upper doors with original glass, brass lock hardware, a tooled leather writing surface, four upper drawers, a desk drawer and it sits on the most incredible turned legs. It even has the pieces of vintage French lace that the previous owners added as a trim to the interior shelves—a detail often found in antique French pieces. 

It also comes apart in three pieces for easy transport.

Antique French secretary cabinets were both functional and decorative. They were designed to store important documents, letters, and writing materials such as ink, quills, and parchment. The upper portion of the cabinet contains shelves displaying decorative objects or storing books.
