Born in France in the early 20th century, fine quality Parisian craftsmanship, exceptionally executed in luxurious 18th century Transition style with a nod to the period's Art Deco taste, exquisitely hand-crafted high-quality solid wood case featuring rare, expensive, and exotic highly figured mottled grain burled Amboyna, accented with marquetry and banding inlays, having a dovetail frieze drawer, flanked by brilliant gilt bronze ormolu mounts, over a single door cabinet, opening to interior with Carrera marble shelf, rising on short transitional cabriole legs adorned with gilded bronze sabots, topped with the original dramatically veined variegated marble top with molded edge.
