Clothing sizes prior to 1990 tend to be very different from today. A vintage size 14 can actually fit like today’s size 6. Always check the measurements.
Also, every decade had specific fits/cuts. For example, the 80s tended to have boxy shapes, and women in the 50s often wore girdles that cinched in waists.

Measurements provided should be utilized as an estimated guide. The best way to ensure proper fit is to compare given measurements to a similar garment you already own.

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of vintage items, I do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds. It is your responsibility to view the item's description prior to purchasing.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to understand how to care for the vintage items purchased. Bold Fashioned is not responsible for the mishandling or careless wear and washing by the buyer after purchase. I cannot guarantee longevity.

The buyer is responsible for providing the correct shipping address. If an item is returned by USPS due to an incorrect or undeliverable address, the buyer is responsible for the additional cost to reship the item, or the order will be refunded minus the original cost to ship the item and a $5 restocking fee.

Vintage items are one of a kind, therefore restocking an item once it is sold is impossible. If you see something you love, get it while you can!

Please understand vintage items have been previously loved and some wear may be present. I always do my best to accurately photograph and describe the item, but always purchase with the knowledge that vintage items are always 20-90 years old — but hey, that’s what make them awesome! I want every customer to be happy with their purchase, so please purchase with the understanding that vintage items are one-of-a-kind and perfectly imperfect.

I usually only source vintage items in good condition, and some of the vintage items I find have never been used. But, sometimes an item is too good or rare to pass up even with a flaw. Feel confident that I will always disclose damage or extreme wear in the item description.

Vintage blouses and dresses used to commonly be worn with camisoles and slips, therefore expect them to be more sheer than today’s garments.

Vintage skirts and pants were almost always designed to be worn at your true waist (high). Therefore, a maxi (long) skirt might seem to fit too long for you if you try to wear it low waisted because it wasn’t designed to be worn that way.

Elastics, often in waistbands, tend to deteriorate with time. Expect this, and hey, it’s a great excuse to wear a cute belt. An elastic gathered sleeve can usually simply be stitched back to life.

Be gentle with your vintage clothing when it comes to washing. If you have an extra special or rare item, it would be worth your while to hand wash and air dry.

Item’s that ship at no additional cost (free shipping) will usually ship via USPS Ground Advantage, but occasionally will ship via UPS Ground. You always have the option to upgrade your shipping to USPS Priority Mail at your own expense.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide a safe location for package delivery. If your package is missing but the tracking states delivered, it is the buyer’s responsibility to contact USPS/UPS or to file a police report.

New (not vintage) Product Returns
▪️A return must be initiated within 3 days of delivery, and shipped back within 4 days of return approval. It is in your best interest to provide a tracking number.
▪️The returned item must be returned in the exact condition received -- The packaging must not be broken for sanitary reasons. Returns with opened packaging will not be refunded. For example: Socks that have been tried on cannot be returned.
▪️The buyer is responsible for the return shipping cost, and the original shipping will not be refunded.
▪️ All sales final on sale/discounted items.
