I offer an array of different shades for this corded pendant light, which I designed in classic English style with fabric-covered twist cord and an expertly cast brass ceiling canopy.

Infinitely customizable, I envision this fixture dotting a cozy kitchen, elevating a mudroom, or a grouping of pendants slung low over an inviting dining table.

ABOUT THE FIXTURE:

• Handmade to order in our Los Angeles studio
• Tell us how long you'd like to cord in the customization field. If needed, cord may be shortened during installation
• We offer wire in three colors: black (in the final pic), ivory (in the flat-brass shade pic), or sand (in all of the other pictures)
• Installs into a standard J-box. All necessary mounting hardware included
• Ceiling canopy measures 4 ½" in diameter
• Bulb sold separately. 100 watt max.

ABOUT THE WHITE CLASS SHADE:

• The white glass shade is mouth-blown and perfectly imperfect
• Glass is finished with an etching technique that produces a matte white finish
• Measures 7 ⅞" in diameter

ABOUT THE AMBER GLASS SHADE:

• This amber glass shade is mouth-blown and perfectly imperfect
• Measures 7 ⅞" in diameter

ABOUT THE FLAT BRASS REFLECTOR SHADE:

• Made of heavy-gauge brass that is expertly lathe formed
• Raw brass is perfectly imperfect, and will patina with age
• Measures 8" in diameter

ABOUT NO SHADE:

• Let the bare bulb shine, or get creative and make your own shade! We include shade-rings that will accept Euro attachments.
• You may also source your own porcelain or glass shades. Look for a minimum aperture of 1 ⅜" and a maximum aperture of 2 ⅛"

ABOUT THE ALABASTER SHADE:

• Alabaster is a gorgeous stone, similar to marble. As a natural material, no two pieces are identical. This is to be expected and celebrated
• Features a matte, honed finish with white and grey veining
• Measures 8" in diameter

ABOUT THE BRASS CONE SHADE:

• Made of heavy-gauge brass that is expertly lathe formed
• Raw brass is perfectly imperfect, and will patina with age

Well, okay! My fixtures are made from solid brass that is not lacquered. The brass is polished by hand, and then covered in a thin layer of artisanal microcrystalline wax (Theres a $10 word for ya). This leaves the fixture with a deep, matte luster. The brass will darken and patina with age. I absolutely love the look of naturally aged brass, but if you prefer the bright gold you can clean it up with Brasso or Barkeepers Friend.

Finish was already tarnishing when it arrived! I know it’s raw brass but somehow this seems to be tarnishing quicker than other similar pieces of hardware.

Just to give you a heads up, we intentionally give our polished unlacquered brass a mild treatment of vinegar and sawdust during production to start the patina and to tone down the shine before it reaches your doorstep. If you're leaning towards a sleeker, more contemporary vibe, feel free to reach out, and we'll gladly arrange an exchange for the brushed brass alternative :)
