Set of 3 Royal China Falling Leaves Coupe Soup Bowl Looking almost like plates, this is a set of three coupe soup bowls from mid-century dinnerware maker, Royal China, in the Falling Leaves decal ware pattern. Dimensions: 7-3/4" diameter, 1-3/4" tall Condition: VERY GOOD vintage used shape, all three have slight crazing +++++ It seems every maker of dinnerware in the 50s and 60s had an Autumn themed dinnerware line. Quite a few had several and many of them revolved around the theme of the changing leaves. I suppose it really would be difficult for it to be anything else. Well, that being said, in the sea of autumn leaf-themed dinnerware patterns, this one is one of my favorites. I wouldn't give it my #1 spot (that would go to another Royal pattern) but it would be top 3 for sure. For me, the use of bright non-traditional Autumn colors and the semi-surreal way the leaves are colored are what sets this pattern apart. This is a set of three-coupe soup bowls from Royal's Falling Leaves line. Even for soup bowls, these are flatter than most, so much so that I mistook these for plates when I started working don't this listing. All three of these bowls have slight crazing, so slight that the crazing was not evident until I washed them. (Side note: this is why you should never buy dinnerware where it's evident that the dealer has not washed the item(s) since acquiring them. Crazing can be nearly invisible to the naked eye until water seeps into the cracks and makes the crazing easier to see. Plus, it's gross and lazy.) Normally I am against selling crazed dinnerware, but in this case, the crazing is quite light and it looks like the crazing may not penetrate all the way through to the body. Just be diligent about cleaning these quickly after use and don't let them sit in water for too long, Periodically cleaning with hydrogen peroxide also will help kill any bacteria that may have snuck into the cracks before they have a chance to multiply and cause discoloration. These Set of 3 Royal China Falling Leaves Coupe Soup Bowl measures 7-3/4" in diameter and 1-3/4" tall. You are not purchasing one bowl; you will get all three. They are in VERY GOOD vintage used shape with no chips or cracks, but slight crazing as already mentioned.
