I designed this hanging lamp using an off-cut (leftover) piece of brass at the end of a long day in the studio. I've called it "The Off-cut Light" ever since, but truly this is one of my proudest creations.

• Hand-crafted in our LA studio from unlacquered brass, which will darken and patina beautifully with age

• Full-range rotary dimmer located on lamp socket

• If you'd like, we will include a machined brass wall hook. Our hook installs with a single screw, and features a knurled edge

• Braided fabric twist cord in our signature 'sand' color completes the design

Well, okay! My fixtures are made from solid brass that is not lacquered. The brass is polished by hand, and then covered in a thin layer of artisanal microcrystalline wax (Theres a $10 word for ya). This leaves the fixture with a deep, matte luster. The brass will darken and patina with age. I absolutely love the look of naturally aged brass, but if you prefer the bright gold you can clean it up with Brasso or Barkeepers Friend.

Absolutely STUNNING! These lights are even more beautiful in person. Matt was very quick to respond to all inquiries and very helpful. I just stare at them all the time and love how they look flanking our bed. I could not rave enough. I chose plug in to avoid hiring an electrician and they look incredible. Excited to see how they are over time.
