Streamlined Art Deco desk of Bentwood construction by designer Paul Goldman for Plymold. This unique and beautiful design and technology of wood furniture was developed by Goldman, a master boat builder in Lawrence Mass. who created an entire line of furniture based on plywood sheathed in laminate in curved and molded forms.

Goldman has been referenced as the “father of plywood technology”, gaining fame for several iconic chairs of the postwar era and for this desk.

This desk was in production from 1945 thru 1947.

Minor wear from age and use. After all this piece is almost 80 years young!

Drawers slide smoothly. One of the coolest desks we have come across.
