Old Mine Diamond Navette Ring c1900

Old Mine Diamond Navette Ring c1900

Over three carats of old mine cut diamonds make this navette an absolute knockout! Navette style rings are known for their long, flat marquis shape from the late 19th century, usually paved with diamonds and other fine gemstones. The term translates to "little turnip" in French! This striking example is among the finest we've come across. Two sizable diamonds are seamlessly stacked at its center with a smaller diamond flanking north and south, all surrounded by a perfectly fit halo that borders the entire navette. One additional stone is set into each of the ring's shoulders, accentuating its beautifully two-toned design.

This gorgeous ring was handmade around 1900. The diamonds are set in 18k white gold while the shank and lower mounting are 18k yellow gold. One of the center diamonds is about 1.25 carats while the other is about .85 carat. They are finely matched near colorless I grade and super clean VS clarity grade. The surrounding diamonds add about 1 carat in total weight to the ring and are graded near colorless H-I color grades and VS-SI clarity grades. All are old mine cut and certified by AGI (AGI Report #DR231030901), which appraises the ring at $25,000. The ring is currently a size 6 3/4, and may be easily resized up or down upon request. For scale, the top of the ring measures about 1 1/8 inches (27 millimeters) long and 5/8 inch (15 millimeters) wide including the shoulders.
