Beautiful creation in ceramic of Madonna and Child by Elie Van Damme for Amphora Ceramics situated in Sint-Andreis outside Bruges, Belgium. Rogier Vandeweghe,b. 1923 Bruges, Belgium, founded his ceramic, stained glass atelier in his house in 1955.  In 1960 Atelier Rogier Vandeweghe changed the atelier name to Amphora.  Amphora was known for its unique glazes and modern forms.  They closed in 1975.

The glaze of  Madonna and Child is reddish brown with glossy cooper over the faces, hands and child’s legs of the scuplture.  In very good condition, no issues.
