Auguste Mouzin et Cie, Belgium, designed and manufactured this lovely Art Deco bedroom or dresser ceramic set. The set comprised four ceramic pieces: a pitcher, a large basin bowl, a soap-lidded dish, and a comb-lidded holder box. Those sets were used as toiletry accessories for washing and toiletry need. They were displayed in bedrooms when bathrooms were not the norm in houses. Each piece is nicely ornate with enamel over off-white glazed ceramic, a stylized floral geometric design, and a lovely combination of apple green, yellow saffron, amethyst purple, and black colors. Each piece is stamped underside: AMC - Made in Belgium, with the model reference number and hand-written ceramicist monogram.

Note: Originally named Auguste Mouzin et Cie in Wasmuël, Belgium, the faience factory AMC was later known as "la Faiencerie de Wasmuël" and was active from 1878 to 1951. It produced mainly large ornamental pieces and decorative items of fine-quality ceramic. This factory was known for its Art Deco ceramics with recognizable geometric motifs. Vases, bathroom sets, and decorative items were among the factory's regular production. Around 1910, the factory started massive production of mantel clocks. More than a hundred different models were produced with numerous original decorations.
