Dramatic, vintage cut and folded paper owl that has been turned into a 3 dimensional sculpture and mounted in a shadow box frame. The owl is made of heavy weight, thick paper pieces in a warm, off white color that has been cut, creased and folded before being built into a sculpture. The eyes are white, and I don't think they are paper. Set on a dark brown background with an orange peel texture, and matted in grey that extends to the inside of the shadow box frame. Figuratively signed by the artist on the matting. I cannot read the name, but have provided a close up. The frame has been painted off-white - a similar color to the owl. Single piece of glass in front. Highly reflective which caused all sorts of issues when shooting photos. I added a sawtooth hanger to the back of the frame so it can be hung, which is how I store art until it sells.

Measures 15 inches (38.1 cm) tall, 12 inches (30.5) wide and 2 inches (5.1 cm) deep. The owl itself is 8 1/2 inches (21.6 cm) tall.

Very good vintage condition overall. The owl is intact and all pieces secured. I see no staining to the paper or background. The glass is intact, unbroken and not scratched. Random "bump" marks on the framing that may come off with a magic eraser - I've only given the frame a basic cleaning. The lower bit of the paper backing is detached, but I leave that to the new owner.
