This stunning, antique pine dresser has been revitalized to showcase its natural beauty! After removing the stenciled, detailed finished, it was sanded smooth and refinished with a very light wash of Magnolia Pier milk paint from Shackteau Interiors. The wash was just enough to tone down and even out the wood grain. New catalog pulls and a few coats of satin polyurethane tied this piece together beautifully. The drawers appear to have hand cut dovetails, most likely dating it to the earlier 1900s. This dresser would be perfect in a bedroom, but could also function as a focal piece - such as a buffet or server-in a dining room. With plenty of storage and drawers that glide like a dream, it measures 39" wide, 17" deep and 36" high. Each drawer has a handwritten number on the back of the inside, which corresponds with a handwritten number on the slat where the drawer sits. There's also a little piece of history on the underside of this dresser. We've determined it to be an old advertisement (potentially from a trolley car) for Smith Brothers cough syrup or cough drops. How cool is that?! Make it yours today, available for pick up in Falmouth.
