Ya-Li "Katie" Lin, originally from Taiwan, had an appreciation for art from a young age. As a child, she examined comic books, wondering how drawings were made and teaching herself by copying the images. In high school, she enrolled in a commercial program focused on drawing and interior design. After high school, she enrolled at Delgado Community College majoring in fine art, and continued her studies at University of New Orleans. She always fantasized about selling at Jackson Square, but she knew that the waitlist for a permit might take years. After Hurricane Katrina, she thought she could get a permit more quickly — and she did. Within a year, she was earning enough money selling her paintings to work in the Square full time. Over time, Katie has experimented with different techniques and content, ranging from abstract flowers to geometric shapes to jazz musicians
In very good condition with some minimal imperfections.
