This is my live edge black walnut console table.This entryway table has been sold but I can make a similar long sofa table just for you.I made the base with one inch welded steel tube.I finished the base with a clear coat.I like the clear finish because highlights the texture and color of the steel.It also leaves all the grind marks exposed to give this piece a one of a kind hand made look.The table top is solid black walnut.I selected a board with a stress crack and used maple butterfly joints to stabilize the wood.This board also has very nice color variation.I used a durable matte polyurethane finish.The finish was applied very thin so the wood appears more natural but still offers the protection of polyurethane.Contact me if you would like to talk about custom work.Thanks
