Vintage 1960's Sanbi Maroon Geometric Michiyuki Coat. This lovely, authentic Japanese silk dress features a unique striped and checked print in shades of maroon, navy, and purple, as well as dramatic kimono sleeves and a relaxed silhouette similar to a kaftan. Lined in lightweight baby pink silk inside the bodice, a faux double breast style flap in the front creates the base of the low square neckline, adorned by three matching silk covered buttons down the edge of the flap. A surprise hidden pocket resides inside the flap between the 2nd & 3rd button. Hidden snaps along the neckline and under the buttons keep the garment closed, stopping at about mid-thigh for ease of movement, while the three-quarter-length skirt reaches to around mid-calf.
