Vintage from the 1900s

Materials: glass

Large clear glass pharmacy chemical bottle with stopper made in NJ at Whitall Tatum Co. Hand blown glass features air bubbles and other interesting manufacturing defects, no chips or cracks but the bottle was used many years and there are scratches and other signs of use that add to it’s vintage charm. I would not describe it as showroom perfect but I would also not expect a turn of the century piece to be pristine. If you are a serious glass collector and want a run down of every possible issue I see, I would gladly give you as much of a report as I can. Generally speaking, it is a fine piece and will make a great display.

Based on the facts stated, I believe this bottle dates 1901-1924. It stands 10-1/2” tall to the top of the stopper and is just over 3-1/2” diameter at base. The label is preserved under glass. There is some pink bleed from the red ink used in the boarder. The bottle has residue of product inside. I think that adds to the charm.

I am usually very accessible for questions. Please note we spend many weekends camping in our VW Van and are sometimes in areas without service. Also note that some of my furnishings are on display locally in my booth space. That facility is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. I will not be able to access the building during those times.

Because the items I am placing are, in many cases, 50+ years old, no warranty is provided or implied, I describe everything I see as it, wear and condition issues, included. If you need further clarification, please reach out as I can bombard you with photos and further details. I often will do that prior to shipping a piece that might have some issues, just in case. I try my best to pack your items as carefully as possible but sometimes shipping damages occur. In the event you received a damaged parcel, you will need to notify my right away and provide me with photos for insurance claims. Please try to take pics of the box,especially if it was mishandled. Then show the inside as best as possible so I can see the packaging materials and broken item. Usually 4 or 5 photos will be fine. Message them to me. If the item is a total loss, I will file the claim and refund you immediately upon receipt of your photos. If there are some good and some damaged items, we will need to discuss further so we agree on an action. Please note, I have your back and will do anything I can to make it right.
