Description

From Swedish Master Vicke Lindstrand and Kosta, a 1960s Amoeba Shaped Sommerso Bowl.
Bowl or dish in Sommerso technique, clear glass and lemony green, designed by Vicke Lindstrand and Hanne Dreutler for Kosta glass works, Sweden. Vicke Lindstrand was appointed chief designer at Kosta in 1950, and was there through 1975. Vicke Lindstrand (1904-1983) was a Swedish designer whom excelled in glass making as well as ceramics, painting and textile design.  Lindstrand, along with Edvin Ohrstrom and Knut Bergquist, in the 1930s developed the Ariel technique of glass blowing while working at Orrefors.
Incised mark Kosta LH 1127 (model number), where L is for Lindstrand and H means artisanal, made by hand and HD 73 for Hanne Deutler.
Measures: 4  1/4 inches  x  4  1/2 inches  x  1  1/2 inches high.
