Philip and Kelvin LaVerne SCULPTURE I, showroom catalog published in the 1970’s, this table is shown on page 5, description in back states, “THE CREATION OF MAN: This is undoubtedly one of the greatest Works of Art of all time, as it is a section of the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, created by Michelangelo. We are looking at the portion on which God gives breath to Adam by touching him. This is a three dimensional bas-relief sculpture on a background of magnificent light and dark bronzes. The classical columns which support the table are carved of bronze.”
