M1 T70 Dining Table by Angelo Mangiarotti, Italy 1960s
A rare M1 T70 Table was designed by Mangiarotti in 1969 for Skipper. Mangiarotti’s vision was to create a table that respected the materiality of the marble without utilizing any joints in the design. The heavy table top rests on the conical pedestal by use of an interlocking system. Most examples of the M1 are in Carrara marble; this example is in deep gray Italian marble.
This M1 table was sourced from the original owner in central Italy. It shows the markings underneath to indicate this was handmade; and not a contemporary interpretation made with machines.
This table has been professionally polished and displays beautiful veining throughout the top and base.
DIMENSIONS: 51"Dia x 29.5"H
CONDITION: This table has been professionally polished to remove original signs of wear. It is in excellent condition; with no cracks or chips.
