History
  • French provincial furniture gained popularity in the 18th century, known for its elegant yet practical designs, often reflecting the rural lifestyle of the French countryside.
  • Vintage pieces like a French chest of drawers may showcase craftsmanship and design techniques from previous generations, potentially making them more durable than some contemporary alternatives.
  • The use of distressed finishes in vintage furniture aligns with a modern trend towards sustainability and the appreciation of pre-owned items with character.
