History
  • Stripped steel furniture represents a trend in utilitarian design that emerged in the early to mid-20th century, emphasizing both functionality and minimalism.
  • Steel, being a durable material, has been used historically in furniture making due to its strength and longevity, which makes these pieces suitable for heavy usage.
  • The use of clear coatings on stripped steel items has origins in efforts to preserve the raw, industrial look while protecting the material from wear and corrosion.
