History
  • The design of this platform bed is influenced by the Memphis Group, founded in the early 1980s, which sought to challenge conventional furniture styles and brought a playful aesthetic to interior design.
  • Ettore Sottsass, a prominent figure in the Memphis Design movement, was known for his innovative use of materials and color, and pieces inspired by his style often reflect a departure from traditional design boundaries.
  • Vintage items from the 1980s, such as this platform bed, offer insight into the design trends of that era, characterized by geometric shapes, bright colors, and an emphasis on artistic expression.
