Bistro tables have roots in French café culture, often associated with social dining and a relaxed atmosphere since the late 19th century.

Italian furniture design in the 1950s was characterized by a blend of functionality and elegance, reflecting the post-war shift towards modern aesthetics and craftsmanship.

The use of marble in furniture from this era often symbolizes both luxury and durability, contributing to the lasting appeal of mid-century Italian designs.
