ATTIC Alert
Lane Company has a longstanding history in furniture making, having been established in the early 20th century, which contributes to its reputation for quality craftsmanship.
Cedar chests have been historically significant in American households, traditionally used for storage and preservation of textiles due to the natural insect-repelling properties of cedar wood.
The design and popularity of the hope chest concept can be traced to the mid-century era, linking it to cultural practices surrounding marriage and domestic life.
