ATTIC Alert
Highboys originated in France during the 18th century and have evolved significantly, often seen in various forms across American furniture history.
The walnut wood used in highboys is often appreciated for its durability and beauty, frequently being favored in fine furniture making since the 19th century.
Furniture pieces incorporating lucite and chrome reflect design trends from the mid-20th century, aligning with a post-war preference for modern materials and sleek lines.
