Hi my name is Abbie Belanger and I am the artist and creator of \u201cFrom the Studio of A Belanger\u201d. Christmas is definitely my most favorite time of the year, my very happy place. I could do Christmas everyday of every year. I became intrigued with the beauty of Christmas at a very young age, and as a mother of two, it took on an even deeper meaning for me. I have always enjoyed every little detail in all of Christmas.

A friend of mine introduced me to antiquing and that\u2019s where I discovered Victorian ornaments, I was definitely hooked. I started collecting many little treasures of trims, metallic ribbons, antique postcards and Victorian paper scraps, so much that I started to make unique ornaments for my trees. From that stemmed many other projects that continuously flow from my imagination and creativity.

I worked with some talented artists along the way. They saw what I could create and would express how my little works of art should be shared with others by selling my creations. One artist had me display a few Santas that I had sculpted in her store, just to prove to me that they would sell. I give her thanks and gratitude for inspiring me to move forward with what was only my hobby. I now make my own personal renditions of Victorian Ornaments, and Candy Containers. I also sculpt figures such as Santas, Snowmen, and Angels using different types of mediums.

Most of my creations are made with an array of vintage and antique supplies that I have accumulated over 40 years. Because I work this way, some of my creations will be a one of a kind. Those pieces will come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I may even create a series or just a small collection based on supply in demand. While working on one new piece, many others will evolve, that is how my creativity works.

I should mention that my designs and creations don\u2019t just involve Christmas. They include other seasons such as Valentines Day, Easter, Fourth of July, and Halloween. I also have a jewelry line that I have been designing and creating for the last 15 years. I work on that in between seasonal projects. My jewelry consists of sterling, gold-filled, and 14k gold. I use pearls, semi-precious stones, precious stones, vintage and antique pieces. This creativity of mine just keeps flowing.
