History
  • Hitchcock chairs have a storied legacy, originating from the work of Lambert Hitchcock in the early 19th century, known for their pioneering techniques in the production of wooden furniture.
  • The chairs may resonate with collectors and enthusiasts of American furniture history and craftsmanship, reflecting a time when artisanal techniques were prominent in furniture making.
  • As part of a movement toward simpler, functional designs, the Hitchcock style is often associated with American Colonial and Shaker influences in furniture aesthetics.
