G Plan is recognized for its role in the British mid-century modern furniture movement, which gained popularity in the 20th century and emphasized functional artistry.
Founded in the 1950s, G Plan has been a significant name in furniture design, with pieces that often reflect the styles and trends of their time, such as by V.B. Wilkins in 1967.
This period was marked by an emphasis on clean lines and organic shapes in furniture, aligning with broader design trends that favored simplicity and practicality.
