History
  • Planters in various anthropomorphic shapes have been a part of decorative arts for centuries, often reflecting cultural values and aesthetics of the time they were created.
  • The popularity of animal-shaped planters gained traction during mid-century modern design, which emphasized playful yet functional forms in home furnishings, though exact origins can vary by region and style.
  • Independent artisan craftsmanship, as exemplified in similar planters, has seen a resurgence as consumers increasingly seek unique, handmade items that tell a story.
