Reminds me of something Miss Pamela would wear out! I think it would be really cute on a pregnant woman too, like many of Mia Farrow's outfits in Rosemary's Baby. Lined but still semi sheer. Has lace details on the collar with a ribbon bow on the front. No tags.

Excellent vintage condition. No visible imperfections noticed.

The 1950s and 1960s saw a significant cultural shift in fashion, particularly within women's sleepwear, as designs became more expressive and colorful, reflecting the playful spirit of the era.

Psychedelic patterns and bright colors gained popularity during this time, often associated with the counterculture movement, which could make such a nightgown a representative example of fashion trends from that period.

The reference to films like 'Rosemary's Baby' suggests a connection to iconic fashion in cinema, showcasing how film influences apparel and the perception of comfort and style.
