ATTIC Alert
Teak wood, prized for its durability and rich color, has been a popular choice in furniture making since the mid-20th century, particularly during the mid-century modern movement.
Designer Grete Jalk was notably influential in Denmark's furniture design scene during the 1950s and 1960s, contributing to the international appreciation of Scandinavian modern aesthetics.
The mid-century modern period saw a shift towards functionalism in design, focusing on clean lines and organic forms, which remain celebrated in contemporary interiors.
